Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering

 

 

Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering is the youngest department in GZPCC, is committed to reform and innovate. It is actively exploring "colleges-enterprises liaison" educational system. Mechanical and Electronic Engineering Dept. is currently market-oriented to meet national and social needs of high-quality, highly skilled personnel. Dept. of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering currently has 5 specialties (11 major directions) in which engineering machinery control technology is the national-demonstration construction specialty. These specialties are engineering machinery control technology, numerical control technology, mechatronics, mechanical manufacturing and automation, intelligent traffic control technology

Faculty: Dept。 of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering has 26 professional teachers including two graduate degrees, six associate professors and senior engineers, fourteen senior lecturers。 "Double-profession" teacher occupies 78% of teachers, and we hired 21 other craftsmen from outside companies, including those with advanced engineers。

Training bases: Dept. of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering currently cooperates with Guizhou Highway Engineering Corporation, Komatsu Engineering Machinery Co.Ltd. of Guizhou, Guizhou Hengli Engineering Machinery Co. Ltd., Guizhou Kailin Group Co. Ltd. of mineral fertilizers, Optics Valley Hi-Tech Laser Co. Ltd. and Guizhou Haier Trade and other extracurricular companies to sign a joint agreement to establish the stable training bases for off-campus teaching practice and implementation of student’s internships. Dept.’s win-win situation and business success has delivered more than 500 qualified graduates to employment market.

 

Introduction of Specialties

1Engineering Machinery Control Technology (machinery of highway construction direction)

Training Objectives: to train students to master mechanical construction site management, road construction machinery operation with driving skills, engineering machinery maintenance and repair capabilities of transportation construction and road construction companies, 

Main courses: maintenance of construction machinery, diesel engine,  engineering machinery, hydraulic, electrical equipment, construction machinery, road construction mechanization management, management of construction machinery, engineering machinery operation, construction machinery disassembly and maintenance, mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, machinery operation training, internships and other practical teaching。

Employment orientation: Graduates mainly for engineering machinery control units engaged in use, management, operation and maintenance of road construction machinery。

2Engineering Machinery Control Technology (machinery of civil construction direction)

Training Objectives: to train students to master a certain civil construction machinery management, use, leasing, and accounting ability of transportation civil construction and projects.

Main courses: maintenance of construction machinery, diesel engine, engineering machinery, hydraulic, electrical equipment, construction machinery, engineering machinery management, construction machinery operation, mechanical disassembly and maintenance, mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance, comprehensive training of construction machinery, machine operation training, internships and other practical teaching。

Employment orientation: Graduates may be employed in relative working positions engaged in civil construction machinery installation, machinery and equipment management, use and maintenance as well as construction machinery leasing and accounting work.

3Engineering Machinery Control Technology (machinery inspection and maintenance direction)

 Training objectives: to train students to master engineering machinery and equipment inspection, maintenance, and machine operation skills  for road construction, construction and engineering machinery marketing and management company.

Main courses: construction machinery, machinery operation and maintenance, diesel engine repair, transmission repair, steering and brake system maintenance, construction machinery carriage system maintenance, electrical testing and repair of construction machinery, system fault diagnosis, engineering machinery hydraulic transmission, machinery electronic control systems maintenance, disassembly and maintenance of construction machinery, electrical equipment maintenance training, engineering machinery comprehensive training, machine operation training, internships and other practical training 。

Employment orientation: Graduates major for road construction, transportation construction, engineering mechanical maintenance and other enterprises engaged in the use of modern machinery, fault diagnosis and maintenance, road construction machinery, sales of construction machinery, equipment and parts management, and after-sale technical service work.

4Engineering Machinery Control Technology (engineering machinery marketing direction)

Training objectives: to train students to master engineering mechanical technical services and marketing management with strong practical ability and good communications skills, be familiar with basic engineering mechanical knowledge and performance specifications

Main courses: maintenance of construction machinery, diesel engine, engineering machinery hydraulic, electrical equipment, modern construction machinery, engineering machinery services and marketing, mechanical equipment maintenance training, mechanical and electrical equipment maintenance training, engineering machinery comprehensive training, internships and other practical teaching。

Employment orientation: Graduates mainly for construction machinery sales and service company engaged in related mechanical and electrical products, technical services, technical marketing, market development, customer management, product recommendation and presentation, equipment purchase and leasing, and parts management positions.

5Numerical Control Technology

Training Objectives: The profession is to train students for use and maintenance of CNC machine operation field in modern production line, with an amount of professional knowledge, a strong practical ability and good work ethic.

Main courses: Mechanical drawing and computer graphics, materials, mechanical engineering, electrical electronic technology, mechanical manufacturing technology based on tolerance and measurement technology, electrical equipment and PLC controls the machine, CNC machining technology and equipment, numerical control technology, professional software applications, programming CNC machine tools, hydraulic and hydraulic transmission.

Employment orientation: The graduates mainly for mechanical manufacturing and processing enterprises engaged in machine tool manufacturers and related manufacturing management and maintenance, including machinery maintenance, testing, technical management, and machining operators。

 

6Mechatronics Technology

Training Objectives: to train students for necessary mechanical and electrical applications technology engage in the use of mechanical and electrical products, failure analysis, maintenance and programming of CNC machine tools, and the latest technology developments.

Main courses: introduction to mechatronics, mechanical drawing and computer graphics, metal material and heat treatment, electrical and electronic technology infrastructure, specialized software applications (Auto CAD, Master CAM, Pro / E, UG, etc。), electrical and mechanical equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic, tolerance and technology measurement, automatic control technology, PLC programming and use, the sensor principle and application, modern laser processing technology。

Employment orientation: The graduates mainly for mechanical and electrical integration products and equipment of the production, management and service lines engaged in mechatronics products, electromechanical integration equipment, operation and maintenance work.

 

7Mechanical Manufacturing and Automation

Training Objectives: to train students for engineering processing machinery operation automation as well as use and maintenance of higher detection machinery applied in modern production line with a certain amount of professional knowledge, a strong practical ability and good work ethic.

Main courses: engineering mechanics, mechanical drawing and computer graphics, mechanical design, materials, mechanical engineering, electrical and electronic technology, machinery manufacturing base, mechanical and electrical control systems, computer interface technology, specialized software applications (Auto CAD, Master CAM, Pro / E , UG, etc。), programming and operating CNC machining, mold design and manufacturing base, professional English language。

Employment orientation: The graduates mainly for mechanical manufacturing and processing, machine tool manufacturers, manufacturing management, and maintenance enterprises engaged in machinery manufacturing, machining installation, maintenance, testing technology management working positions.

 

8Intelligent Traffic Control Technology

Training objectives: to train students to master basic operations and management of computer network, control, maintenance and management of electromechanical systems, the use of monitoring equipment and facilities for highway road and traffic safety issues as well as design, installation, operation and maintenance knowledge for automation equipment with good professional ethics.

Main courses: database, network maintenance, mechatronics, automatic control technology, digital circuits, traffic engineering, microcontroller and interface technology, ITS introduction, highway-electromechanical systems, intelligent buildings and building automation, smart card access control and other core courses.

Employment orientation: Graduates mainly for traffic management and intelligent design, highway management, traffic safety testing, manufacture and installation of traffic safety facilities, traffic system hardware and software maintenance and facilities maintenance working positions。
